Hi, I’m olga boudouris.
My journey with dieting and keeping track of my health improvement started at a very early age. I’ve been put on a strict diet at the age of 3. The list of products I was prescribed to stay away from is so long, that it’s easier to mention what I actually was allowed to eat. I could have simple oats made with water, easy digestible soups and green veggies and fruits only. Main focus was to keep it simple enough do not overstimulate my system.
I was diagnosed with atopic dermatitis, asthma and later at school I developed some gastric issues. I kept dieting and learned from different types of doctors many different medical ways on quick fixes with steroids, antibiotics, blood infusions, atopic creams etc. But, not till later in my 20s I recognized the importance of a balanced on nutriotions focus.
At the college time, being a 3rd year student, I even worked at the Research center managed by one of the doctors who was working with me as child, specializing on pollution effect and Asthma, sponsored by Glaxo Smith Kline research group.
Being born in March of 1986 to athletic parents in a perfect health (my parents met at the Sport Academy they were getting their sport management degree at. Mom being a gymnast and dad being a boxer). I’d say Chernobyl’s explosion, which happenned in April of 1986 (one month after my birth) clearly affected a huge population and the number of cases for allergies and asthma noticeably in history increased since it happenned.
I remember always asking mom about health benefits of any single meal or food I was having, clearly showing interest in nutrition values.
It took me almost 15 years well spent in corporate world to realize my true passion for mindful way of leaving. Brought me to meditation, yoga and becoming a Nutrition Coach.
At the age of 22 I crossed half of the World to discover a new life and follow the American Dream. My vision of healthy habits changed drastically since I moved to US in 2008.
It’s a fun story when I spent first 3 years in States managing a Greek Restaurant, which truly opened a new world of Mediterranean Diet to me. Which is truly a most favorite of all I ever tried. Basically, being most balanced and moderative.
I recognize importance of natural ways of healing, breathing technics and eating proper amount of veggies, fruits, protein and heart healthy grains as a true secret of success.
My Approach
My true approach is by finding a balance for my clients, by introducing them to a world of nutrition, review of main health goals and challenges, prevented the achievement in the past. I don’t believe there is a need for starvation to achieve a healthy weight or there is a need for medical intervention, unless it’s prescribed by the health specialist. Every client has their own history and deserve an individual approach.
